putting the finishing touches on an email to my gals back in maple grove. ash sent out an email asking us to list ten things we’re grateful for in the month of november. my list, you ask?

1. job. money. vacation.
2. lala.com and npr.org/music
3. my able body
4. coffee shops
5. letters cards postcards via USPS
6. my independence
7. my roommates (ok, even liza)
8. color
9. family
10. friends (especially high school relationships that have lasted outside of MGSH since 2002)
    

alright, so maybe that actually 16 or so. but, whatever. i'm a grateful gal. and, it is more cohesive in the paragraph form i used in the email. but that is reserved for my gals.

movie time. watching ‘stranger than fiction’ with ryan (sorta) and fred (kinda) and picking away at some facebook stalking. sundays are a great day for multi-tasking.

updating the blog. caught red-handed. yowzas am i behind after europe. good thing i kept a journal of captions for the pictures while i was traveling.

caught red-handed. updating the blog. left the computer at work for the weekend so i could run around playing without feeling like i ‘should’ do internet working. so i was perfectly content having a relaxing weekday evening in to catch-up on pictures, emails, and whatnot (read: life) from the previous weeks.

catching-up on email, and g-chatting with andrea 'half of team bredrea' langhoff. spent all of sunday trying to be clean again. a wasted effort, it turns out. with nick, ryan, and erin, i settled happily into the couch in my pajamas with the computer.

kinda watching tv. kinda playing on the computer. gmail time. i signed up for this site - sparkpeople.com - which is an online health/fitness/wellness/etc. social networking (i guess) site. the site sends me a few emails a day about articles and blogs on those topics. i manage to spend a good amount of time on the site reading. which is actually pretty darn close to the exact reason why i got into the health education field my freshman year - i kept reading wellness articles online instead of studying for other classes. some things don't change, it appears.

facebooking aron. i was working on work, but taking frequent breaks. i can't help it; facebook preys on ADD kids. behind the computer you can see the art ryan bought for the house. it's an aardvark in a tree. AARDVARK IN A TREE. you can also see some of the white elephant gifts left at the house after the xmas bash. little advice - never host a party that includes a white elephant gift exchange if you don't want to end up with a bunch of crap nobody else wants.

my preventive health and wellness program description is requiring a bit of weekend work. i set up my work laptop on the dining room table at home and worked on excel and word. i work best on paper, but in an effort to be more green (and due to lack of a printer), i worked electronically. there is something peaceful about working from home. perhaps it has something to do with the leftover holiday reindeer ears (ears? no, antlers) antlers within sight.
