working at barriques with quinn. in the back working away at the dishes. the milk canisters that hold the ‘room-for-cream’ cream are pulled earlier than close – well, at least the skim and 2%. there are very few coffee orders later in the eve, and if there are it’s a safe bet half & half is the cream of choice. scrubbing and getting them ready for the dishwasher. one thing not anticipated was that the size of the brush > the size of the container. so when i pulled the brush out water sprayed all over. whoops.

I like how you describe the finer details of barista-ing. I also have found in my career that you only leave the 1/2&1/2 container out... no one needs skim in their coffee, anyway.
